Who I am: Anna Tonrungroj

I am a Compositor who has worked on the Sci-Fi Channel TV Series, Sanctuary,
and as a BG Prep Artist for the feature-length film, District 9, released in August 2009.

In the past I have worked as a Visual Effects Artist
in Commercials and Music Videos
for Digital Magic Group in Bangkok, Thailand
My past work experience also includes
Matte Painting, Photo Retouching, and Motion Graphic.

In 2007, I decided to study 3D Animation and Visual Effects
at Vancouver Film School, BC, Canada and have just recently graduated.

I have over 2 years professional computer experience
and therefore qualify to work in Canada under
the CIC Information Technology (IT) Workers Work Permit.

More About Me

I was born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand
and have always been fascinated by art since I was a kid.
I had the unique opportunity to be an international exchange student
and graduated with a high school diploma, Class 2001 from Bridge City High School, Texas, USA.

2002, I returned back to Thailand to study at Silpakorn University.
There I focused on traditional art and graphic design, majoring in Advertising
but only to realize upon its completion that my true passion was doing Visual Effects.
I decided at that point to take my first step into the Film Shorts and Animation world.

Through a combination of autodidactic and course driven knowledge,
I have expanded my horizons into the complex and fascinating art of post production
effects making at Digital Magic Group, a VFX house company in Thailand.
In 2005, I finally worked my way up into the position of Visual Effects Artist.

Graduated from Vancouver Film School in August 2008.
I'm now an aspiring CG / VFX Artist and currently living in Canada, Vancouver area.
